Description

NOW® L-Ornithine is a non-essential amino acid that plays an important role in the urea cycle, working alongside arginine and citrulline to help the body process ammonia, a byproduct of protein metabolism.

Ornithine can also be converted into arginine and other amino acids, including citrulline, proline and glutamate. It is also involved in pathways related to creatine production, which contributes to normal muscle energy metabolism.
